Change and Innovation at Saubermacher

Innovation has always been an integral feature of the Saubermacher corporate philosophy. The drive towards renewal, change and structure is the basis upon which the company has developed from being an environmental pioneer to a waste management and recycling industry player active in Central and Eastern Europe during the course of its almost 30 year old success story. As a new member of the board of directors, Erhard Schmidt, MBA, brings his experience and competence with him to the benefit of the growing environmental market. Schmidt has longstanding experience within international concerns and has extensive specialist skills which are of particular value to Saubermacher given the expansion in the East, for example.

At the same time, the long serving, much respected financial director Arnold Schuster is resigning his position on the Saubermacher board for health reasons. He will continue to assist the board, and in particular the chairman of the board, Hans Roth, with specific functions in the future. Arnold Schuster has been with the company for 14 years during the course of its dynamic growth and has played a key role in the company’s economic success.

His successor Erhard Schmidt takes on responsibility for a company which, as a full service provider within the waste management and recycling industry, today employs almost 2 900 staff members at home and abroad while serving around 1 600 municipalities and over 40 000 trade, commerce and industry clients.
