10 years of Öko-Service & Saubermacher

Öko-Service GmbH was founded as a non-profit organisation with the business objective to offer job seekers employment and qualification in environmentally relevant service areas. An approach which fully corresponds with the corporate philosophy of the leading Austrian waste disposal and recycling company Saubermacher, based on assuming responsibility for environment, humans and society.

The joint project started in 1997 at Saubermacher’s location in Unterpremstätten (formerly Rumpold). During the cooperation, transit staff and trainees suggested by AMS are employed in the field of disassembling waste electrical and electronic equipment (computer, screens, TVs, small appliances, etc.). On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, Saubermacher director Hans Roth, Christian Krizanic (managing director of Öko-Service) and Mag. Karl-Heinz Snobe (AMS) provided exciting insights into the highly successful employment and qualification model during a press conference on Tuesday, 15 May 2007, which at the same time also makes an important contribution to environmental protection.
