Slovenia buys from HOFER and Saubermacher cleans up!

In 2005, the company HOFER trgovina na drobno d.o.o. launched the first eleven branches in Slovenia and this year, about 20-25 additional branches will follow.

HOFER’s aim is to set up a similarly compact branch network in the next few years as in Austria. The decision was to work together with SAUBERMACHER Slovenia based on the good experiences with the parent company in Austria.

Furthermore, HOFER benefits from the Saubermacher know-how because in Slovenia, the disposal system used is the same as that used in the Austrian branches. A customised waste treatment concept ensures successful cooperation. Even the employees were included in this and prepared in training courses for the separate waste collection. HOFER disposal tasks in Slovenia:

• mixed communal waste
• bio-degradable waste
• food with expired best before date
• old batteries
• fluorescent light tubes
• silt from oil separators from car parks
• oil-polluted water from the company’s water treatment plant

Saubermacher, itself, or local sub-contractors – particularly local companies – collect the waste. Other international chains are also planning their entry onto the Slovenian market. The common wish is for a single competent disposal partner for all of Slovenia. Only a few companies can offer such a service – first and foremost Saubermacher, which takes “Pole Position” with years of experience, sustained disposal networks and the latest equipment.
