International Integration Week

European Year of the handicapped

From May 31st to June 6th, the International Integration Week organized by the Training Centre of the Country of Styria for Handicapped Young People, took place again. In the "European Year of the handicapped " young people of different social origin, nationalities and different cognitive and motional abilities had the possibility to spend one week together.


International Visitors

Every year, deprived and handicapped people from Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Czechia, Poland, Ukraina, Hungary and Austria take part in this event which was perfectly organized by Mrs. Maryla Hermann.

The participants were offered a varied programme including hiking, a day in the thermal bath of Loipersdorf, the visit of the mayor of Graz in the Town Hall, workshops, a concert, a barbecue and much more besides.


Contests and award ceremony

At the end of the week they had the possibility to visit the barracks of Gablenz in Graz. The programme included various contests, a cross-country drive, roping, riding and an award ceremony followed by a party with DJ Captain P. L. W. The team of Saubermacher International used this opportunity to hand over some presents to the Hungarian group invited by the company.

On the last day of their stay, the teenagers could spend their free time individually and after having spent an exiting week in Styria they went back home, exhausted but happy.
