Celebration of the "Earth Day" in Slovenia and Czechia

Earth Day

On 22nd April 2003, Slovenia and Czechia celebrated the "Earth Day" and it was a matter of course that our companies, Saubermacher Biopas/Kromeriz (Czechia) and Saubermacher-PUP/Velenje (Slovenia), took part in this event.

In the course of the "Earth Day" they had the possibility to present the innovative model company Saubermacher to the public.


 Saubermacher Czechia

In Czechia, the unbelievable amount of 340 kilos (11.346 pieces) of Tetrapak-packages has been collected for 3 weeks in schools and kindergartens. They constructed cubes which formed a labyrinth in order to show the children how much waste can be produced within 3 weeks only. And for Saubermacher it was important to increase the ecological consciousness of the population because Saubermacher intends to introduce the collection of Tetrapaks in the municipalities disposed in Czechia.


 Saubermacher Slovenia

In Slovenia, it was the prior aim of Saubermacher to present the newly founded company "Saubermacher PUP" to the population. The program included a vehicle show presenting our large fleet of trucks. The citizens were made a present in the form of a bio-waste bin including free compost and they had the possibility to deliver used lubrication oil and waste edible oil freely. Furthermore, the pupils from the local secondary school rehearsed a music and dance programme and even made toys from waste.
