Opening in Slovenia

On Friday, 9th April 2010, the opening of the new business premises of Saubermacher & Komunala d.o.o. took place in Murska Sobota, Noršinska Ulica 12. Beside Business Manager Drago Dervarič, Saubermacher CEO Hans Roth and Anton Štihec, Mayor of the Municipality of Murska Sobota, all the employees and several representatives of the press were present for the festivities as well.

The cultural programme of the event included the Saubermacher hymn being performed by the children’s choir of elementary school I. from Murska Sobota in Slovenian, the cymbal player Andi Sobočan as well as Tomi Došen, who studies at the Faculty of Music in Graz, performing on the xylophone.

The ceremonious opening of the new location was performed by Business Manager Drago Dervarič, CEO Hans Roth and Mayor Anton Štihec. Instead of the usual cutting of a ribbon, 19 pigeons were released into freedom as a symbol for the 19 years of company history and the move to the new location. Subsequently, the new offices were visited and artwork made by children from all over Prekmurje within the scope of the project “PET bottles – our friends” looked at. With this project, which was advertised for the 4th time already, Saubermacher wants to familiarise the youngest “customers” with the subject of waste disposal already, and thus encourage them to diligent waste separation.
