klima:aktiv Award for Saubermacher

“The future of mobility must be climate-friendly. Therefore, the Austrian Ministry of Life presented tomorrow’s vehicle technology today already. Since we must use the advantages of environment-friendly fuels and engines much more intensively, in order to also achieve the climate protection targets in the traffic sector”, explained the Austrian Minister for the Environment Niki Berlakovich at an exhibition organised by the Ministry for the Environment together with partners from industry and economy in front of “Shopping City Süd” in Vösendorf. True to the motto “Drive green – save CO2”, more than 30 vehicles with hybrid, biogas/natural gas, super-ethanol (E85) or electric drive could be marvelled at and tested.

Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG was awarded for the use of the first gas-powered waste collection vehicle in Vienna, which is a joint project between Saubermacher, Wien Energie and the Vienna Economic Chamber. For Saubermacher AG, the environment-friendly waste collection vehicle is a showcase, for Wien Energie the possibility to gain experience with natural gas-powered trucks, and the Vienna Economic Chamber therewith presents a new economically and ecologically reasonable solution to the economy.

During the event, our authorised representative Mr. DI Alois Fürnkranz gratefully accepted the award for Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG.
