Hans Roth Austrian of the Year

Austria has many famous names – this year, Hans Roth is added to the list.

With the Austria’09 award, "Die Presse" honours those Austrians, who this year rendered outstanding performances in the areas of Creative Industries, Research, Humanitarian Commitment, Cultural Management, and Economy. Until 9th October, the readers of "Die Presse" had the opportunity to choose their favourite in each of the five categories.

At the big Austria’09 gala on Austria’s national holiday, 26th October 2009, the top three of each category were presented. In the category "Economy", Saubermacher founder and CEO Hans Roth was elected "Austrian of the Year". Hans Roth accepted the award together with his son Hannes and thanked above all his wife Magret, his customers and employees very warmly, without whom winning this award would not have been possible.
